I believe that marketing can and should be a powerful force for good.

That’s why I’m committed to using my expertise in brand and marketing strategy to help mission-driven companies and organizations use the power of brands to carry out their purpose and execute with distinction.

My story

Once upon a time I worked at an NGO. I loved the organization’s mission, but I didn’t love my job (I managed a software program and spent hours staring at lines of code).

After a few years, I got an MBA and landed a marketing role at Procter & Gamble.

Over the next 15+ years, working at P&G and Starbucks, I loved the work -- it was analytical and creative, challenging and energizing -- and I loved the brands I worked on and the people I worked with.

But I wanted to put more of my energy toward the big, important issues that I care about – food justice and nutrition, health care, and climate change – to name a few.  

So, now I’ve come full circle: doing the brand strategy work I love to help organizations carry out their purpose and execute with distinction.

 

Professional Summary

Brand strategy and marketing mastery: Over 15 years at Procter & Gamble (Olay, PUR, Vicks) and Starbucks, where I served as Vice President of Marketing and Category for the Evolution Fresh business. These experiences gave me deep expertise in insights, innovation, business strategy, brand building, marketing, and team leadership. 

Global Health and Development Experience: Five years of consulting experience, including project and technical leadership roles at Mann Global Health; early career experience with an NGO and Peace Corps Service in Cameroon, West Africa.

Recent Consulting Project Highlights:

Health and wellness advocate: Seven years of experience managing brands in the natural foods industry, certified yoga (RYT 200) and barre instructor; daily dog walker, weekend mushroom hunter, and aspiring hand-balancer.
